Viburnum - Sargent Cranberrybush

The Sargent Cranberrybush Viburnum, Viburnum sargentii, is very similar to American Cranberrybush, but will not grow as large. This shrub has beautiful white blooms with a low-to-the-ground branching habit. It will form a large upright, rounded, multi-stemmed shrub. 'Sargent Cranberrybush' is noted for its fantastic red fruit display, which is effective through winter. In the fall, it displays an excellent red-purple color. 'Sargent Cranberrybush' Viburnum is very much like the 'Snowball' Viburnum, except that the leaves are thicker in texture, and it bears fruit. Sargent is very vigorous and resistant to aphids.
