Tangerine - Dancy

The Dancy Tangerine has a loose skin that is easily peeled. It is a tasty red-orange fruit that ripens in winter. This tangerine works well in containers on the porch or patio. It can be moved indoors for those in extreme winter areas. Dancy Tangerine may only reach about 6 feet tall, or it can be clipped to a desired shape. It is an evergreen tree with fragrant flowers. Its fruit is rich and flavorful with a slight tartness to it. The Dancy is also called the Christmas Tangerine because its ripening season is during the months of December and January.
