Salvia - Victoria Blue

The Salvia Victoria Blue, ' Salvia farinacea', is a compact plant that flowers later but can continue blooming for a long time. Victora Blue has intense deep blue flowers. Victoria Blue Salvia is great for center pieces in containers or in mass plantings in rows or as backdrop for other shorter flowers. Victoria is a dwarf form of the species only getting up to 1-2 feet tall. The plant habit is erect but densely branched. This Salvia is also known as Mealy-Cup Sage because the flowers and stems are fuzzy. The bluish green leaves and the deep blue flower spikes bloom all summer long until first frost in autumn. Snapdragons - Solstice Orange Tricolor The Snapdragons Solstice Orange Tricolor, ' Antirrhinum majus', is a mid-height variety that flowers faster than other varieties of Snapdragons. The 16 to 20 inch plants make a good "knee-high" garden. The Snapdragon Solstice Orange Tricolor diplays lavish tricolored orange colors and has a spicy scent. Their long bloomtime makes them a garden favorite. Snapdragons prefer cooler weather and produce 1 to 2 inch tubular flowers. This snapdragon is also great for cut flowers. The flower has an orange yellow petal and white tube.
