Purple Majesty Organic Potato is an oblong, mid season potato with smooth dark purple skin. It is an almost solid purple inside unlike All Blue. This potato has a very good table quality and makes a great blue potato salad. Purple Majesty was developed last year by Colorado growers using natural cross-breeding techniques that somehow resulted in a superspud containing amazing high amounts of antioxidants, so this potato is actually very good for you! Purple Majesty's oblong tubers also make stunning chips or fries. It is resistant to most viruses, but susceptible to fusarium dry rot. Ideal for early market or summer eating; good for short-term storage only.
