Cucumber - Slicing Cucumber - Sweeter Yet F-1
Sweeter Yet F-1 Cucumbers are very early, at least a week earlier than standard slicing varieties. The fruit is 14" long and 2 ½" wide. Even grown to large size, it still has perfect eating quality with a tender thin, sweet peel. Sweeter Yet produces great crops in the field and greenhouse as it does not need pollination to produce fruit. Grow on short trellis for straight fruit or on ground for slightly curled fruit; burpless. Cucumbers should be planted in late spring when the ground is warm, and they can either be seeded directly in the ground or started indoors. Pick them when they reach around eight or nine inches long. Keeping them picked while young will encourage the plants to keep producing. They can be either grown on the ground, or on a cage or trellis. . ... details
