Vermont Yellow Flint Organic Flour Corn is a high quality yellow grain corn that is sure to mature even in cool years. It is a beautiful, true 8-rowed northern flint with deep golden kernels on 8" ears. It is a successful corn variety from Maine to Pugent Sound, probably of Iroquois origin. Vermont Yellow Flint has a nutty and rich flavor when ground for baking and cereal. Also great for old-fashioned roasting ears when picked at the milk stage. It needs hot weather, plenty of time to ripen, and plenty of room to grow. It likes loose soil with a high compost content.
