Clematis - Reiman

Clematis Reiman, Clematis 'Reiman™', puts on a show from June through September! Flowers of 'Reiman' are bluish-purple with intense red streaks down the center of each petal. Compact habit makes it great for containers! Raised by Uno Kivistik in 1987 and named in 1992 to honour Rudolph Reiman, a member of the Estonian Clematis Club. Clematis 'Reiman™' needs a supporting structure to grow properly. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Very reliable performers once established; they take a season or two. Prune lightly above the new leaf buds in early spring and remove any dead or weak stems. . ... additional info
