Clematis - Minister

Clematis Minister, Clematis 'Minister™', has large 6"" red-purple flowers with yellow anthers on red filaments which cover this compact free flowering Clematis from early summer through late fall. The compact habit (one of its parents is Hagley Hybrid) makes it an excellent choice for growing in a patio container. Clematis 'Minister™' needs a supporting structure to grow properly. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine.
