Clematis Hagley Hybrid, Clematis 'Hagley Hybrid' (aka 'Pink Chiffon'), is a popular variety that is much more beautiful than its name. The 6" shell-pink flowers are composed of boat-shaped, pointed petals that are crimped with thin carmine edges and accented with wine red anthers. A very floriferous and long blooming variety that is a must have for any garden! Looks stunning when growing over low shrubs or conifers. Clematis 'Hagley Hybrid' needs a supporting structure to grow properly. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine.
