Kabuli Black Organic (Garbanzos) is a dry bean originally from Kabul, Afghanistan and released by Washington State University. It is hardy and vigorous, completely black; the seed coat is charcoal black rather than the typical blonde color of garbanzo beans; two beans per pod. It has white flowers with blue, violet or pink veins. These frost-tolerant beans have no problem reaching maturity in the Kittitas Valley in Washington State. Make your own falafel and hummus!
