4 Feet Select Tree Sunburst Honey Locust
Sunburst Honey Locust

The Sunburst Honeylocust tree, Gleditsia triacanthos inermis, 'Sunburst', is smaller in stature than the common Honeylocust tree. The wood is dense, hard, and durable. It is a very fine textured tree with a broad, pyramidal crown, and an excellent lawn tree for filtered shade. The leaves are divided into many small, oval leaflets giving a fern-like appearance to the foliage; leaves are normally green, but the 'Sunburst' cultivar has light yellow leaves. Easy to transplant because it withstands a wide range of conditions. Does best in moist bottomlands or soils with high pH. Prefers full sun. Extremely salt tolerant.

Cascade Falls Bald Cypress

The Bald Cypress Cascade Falls, Taxodium distichum 'Cascade Falls', (PP12296), is an exciting, very-weeping bald cypress. The new foliage is light green and will turn orange brown in the fall.

Pruners can be used to control the length of the branches and whether the tips touch the ground or are allowed to cover the ground. Stake it to a certain height and then let it cascade down. Princeton Sentry Ginkgo

The Princeton Sentry Ginkgo, 'Ginkgo biloba "Princeton Sentry", is a male cultivar (which are "fruitless"). This pest free, dense, fat columnar tree is a great street tree where there is limited overhead space. The fall color is brilliant yellow. Adapts well to most urban environments. No smelly fruits with this Gingko cultivar.

The Bald Cypress, Taxodium distichum, is a lofty, deciduous conifer of slender, pyramidal habit. A stately tree, for parks, yards. Landscapers and land owners use this tree in wet areas. Bald Cypress trees have moderate water requirements.

In the fall, the Bald Cypress leaves may turn a rich brown. The needle like leaves are dark green in the spring and summer.

Walker Weeping Caragana The Walker Weeping Caragana, Caragana arborescens 'Walker', is budded on a standard. This small tree has finely cut foliage for a fern-like appearance. Hydrangea Late Panicle

The Hydrangea 'Late Panicle', Hydrangea paniculata 'Tardiva', This shrub has white airy flowers that can reach 10-12" in length in late August. Prune every year in the fall after blooming, no more than 1/3 of the plant. They are hardy and will not need to be covered to flower.
